Player of the Day: Mark Belanger went 5 for 5 with a triple, two doubles, and two singles. Mark knocked in four runs, scored a run, and had two stolen bases as the Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals 12-5.

Pitcher of the Day: Mark Fidrych pitched a complete game 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Fidrych allowed one run on four hits.
