The Oakland A's keep hanging around in the AL West. They took 2 of 3 from the Royals over the weekend to climb to 2 games behind. The league batting leaders are starting to cool off a bit. Rod Carew still leads the league with a .374 average. Jim Rice has hit four homers in the last ten days to get himself on the AL Home Run leader board.
