Player of the Day: Cliff Johnson knocked in six of the seven runs scored by the Astros in a 7-4 victory. Johnson’s 10^th inning 3-run homer proved to be the difference in the game.

Pitcher of the Day: Jim Rooker pitched a 5-hit shutout against the New York Mets

National League - June 8

Player of the Day: Dave Cash was 5 for 6 in the Phillies' 10-1 slaughter of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Pitcher of the Day: Jim Rooker pitched a 5-hit shutout agains the Cincinnati Reds.

National League - May 18

Player of the Day: Dave Winfield was 2 for 3 with 2 walks and 2 runs in the Padres' 13-3 shellacking of the Giants.

Pitcher of the Day: Jim Rooker allowed 1 run in 7 innings to earn the victory against the St. Louis Cardinals.

There was quite a gap between posts. That's because when I was visiting my family for Christmas I left my "Strat jump drive" there. I just got it back yesterday. Serious strat withdrawal for me! :(
