National League - October 1


Player of the Day: John Milner was 4 for 5 with a home run and 4 RBI as the Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies

Pitcher of the Day: Jim Barr earned the win in a 2-1 San Francisco win over Houston. Barr (15-18) allowed one unearned run in 6.2 innings of work.

National League - August 28


Player of the Day: Jon Milner homered in the bottom of the 6th inning. It was the only run in the Mets’ 1-0 victory over the LA Dodgers. The win allowed the Mets to stay 6 ½ games ahead of the hot Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East.

Pitcher of the Day: Jon Matlack struck out six batters, allowed five hits, and didn’t walk anyone as he shut out the Dodgers 1-0. Matlack now has a record of 13-8.

A light Thursday -- only two games.


Player of the Day: John Milner was 2 for 4 with a home run as the Mets beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0.

Pitcher of the Day: Craig Swan went the distance and earned the win in the aforementioned Mets/Dodgers game.

Player of the Day: John Milner was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI in the Mets' 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.


Pitcher of the Day: Tom Seaver pitched a complete game 3-hitter and beat the Phillies 4-1.
