Player of the Day: Pete Rose was 2 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI in the Reds’ win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Pitcher of the Day: Pat Zachry shut out the Philadelphia Phillies 9-0. Pat allowed five hits and walked four batters. Zachry is now 13-5 with a 3.48 ERA in his rookie season.
