After taking 3 of 4 from Oakland in a weekend series, the Kansas City Royals are now only 1/2 game behind in the AL West. The Royals head to New York for a big series with the Yankees. The Yanks split a series with the 2nd place Cleveland Indians to keep their 3-game lead in the AL East. The Red Sox and the Orioles continue to hang around in the East but haven't made much of a move yet.
