American League - July 26


Player of the Day: Al Bumbry went 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI. His 3-run home run in the bottom of the 7th put the Orioles ahead as they beat the New York Yankees 7-4.



Pitcher of the Day: Al Fitzmorris pitched a 4-hit shutout and didn’t walk anyone as the Royals beat Nolan Ryan and the California Angels.

    Great thinks for reminding me how pathetic my Giants were back then.Love the box scores.Takes me back to my front yard ,throwing the ball up in the air catching it in my glove as lon simmions calls the games on my new transister(misspelled) radio.
