1976 National League - Week 8 in Review

The Cincinnati Reds increased their NL West lead to 10 games by sweeping the LA Dodgers at Riverfront Stadium. The Reds have now won 13 straight games. Pete Rose had his hitting streak stopped at 25 games, but the Reds continue to play well.

The New York Mets had a scare this week as the Cardinals pulled to within 1/2 game of the NL East lead, but the Mets beat the Cards on Saturday and Sunday to extend their lead to 2 1/2 games.
